چکیده

(a) For the cases n = 1, 2, 3 we observe that ∆n = 0, 1, 2, respectively, irrespective of the structure of the random search tree. We conclude that δ1 = 0, δ2 = 1, δ3 = 2. For the case n = 4 we observe that either ∆4 = 2 or ∆4 = 3, depending on the structure of the random search tree (∆4 > 2 because we already have ∆3 > 2 and the longest distance cannot decrease by adding more nodes, ∆4 6 3 because there are only three edges in total). The only search trees with ∆4 = 2 are and 1 . Hence, with the help of Lemma 1.1,

On the inverse maximum perfect matching problem under the bottleneck-type Hamming distance

Given an undirected network G(V,A,c) and a perfect matching M of G, the inverse maximum perfect matching problem consists of modifying minimally the elements of c so that M becomes a maximum perfect matching with respect to the modified vector. In this article, we consider the inverse problem when the modifications are measured by the weighted bottleneck-type Hamming distance. We propose an alg...

Application of Hazard Based Model for Housing Location Based on Travel Distance to Work

Residential location choice modeling is one of the areas in transportation planning that attempts to examine households location search behavior incorporating their trade-offs between housing quality, prices or rents, distance to work and other key factors. This brings up the need to come up with methods to logically allocate credible choice alternatives for individuals. This article attempts to...

Using Kullback-Leibler distance for performance evaluation of search designs

This paper considers the search problem, introduced by Srivastava cite{Sr}. This is a model discrimination problem. In the context of search linear models, discrimination ability of search designs has been studied by several researchers. Some criteria have been developed to measure this capability, however, they are restricted in a sense of being able to work for searching only one possibl...

Reactive Search , a history - based heuristicfor MAX { SAT

The Reactive Search (RS) method proposes the integration of a simple history-based feedback scheme into local search for the on-line determination of free parameters. In this paper a new RS algorithm is proposed for the approximated solution of the Maximum Satissability problem: a component based on local search with temporary prohibitions is complemented with a reactive scheme that determines ...
